Follow the cobblestoned paths of free and enslaved Philadelphians who shaped a city and changed the world. Along the way, discuss the sites and settings in books like Never Caught, The Water Dancer, and The Price of a Child.
Meeting location: Outside the visitor center at 6th and Market Streets. Depending on where you are at the Convention Center, it's a 10-20 minute walk away.
Duration: Approximately two miles over wheelchair-accessible sidewalks. The tour generally takes 1.5 hours.
Bring: Comfortable attire/shoes, and a charged phone to access visuals. Please purchase or bring a bottle of water if you anticipate needing one. Although you'll have a chance to go to the Visitors' Center before the tour starts, their concessions close at 4:00.
The tour will be rain or shine.
